Is a comic that soon became a series on TV.Dennis and gnasher fits for all series age, Dennis is always up to something but he never tells his parents. He is a very cheeky boy.

Eragon

Eragon is a film about dragons. The book is better because it has more detail but the film is still good. It's about a poor farm boy who went hunting one day and found a blue stone he brought it home and the next day it hatched. (I don't want to tell you any more I will spoil it for you).

Narnia

The land of Narnia is home to lots of diferent creature,s like sea serpents and dragons and people. Here is a map of Narinia:



I've seen the first film and the third one, and I've got an image in my head of the second one which is called Prince Caspian. I haven't read the books, but I feel I know all about them.

Brige to Terabithia

In this book (or film) Aron meets a girl who insists he should use his imagination more, so they pretend that they are in a whole new world after they cross the old swing across the stream.

The parents once or twice mention that that swing is getting too old and mouldy for them to swing on every day. But still they swing on it to get across to Terabithia.

In the end the second main character dies.

So if you cry when a story character dies don't watch the rest

The Grinch

The Grinch makes me shiver, and quiver. As soon as my brother saw him he was freaked out too. I think Jim Carrey is an extremely scary person when he is under his mask.

In the film there is a girl and I just love her laugh. I can't stand it when I see a video without the laugh.

How to Train your Dragon: the Film

How to Train your Dragon is a great film and book. In those times, the Vikings times,  their enemy was not England or the Saxons but DRAGONS. In the film there is a  villager named Hiccup who was the chief's son. He was trying to catch the unknown named toothless he never goes on ground he only shuts massive bomb. I

Spiderwick

I pefered the book to the film, because it really gets your mind going and  imagining the scene.
I liked the begining of the film when they arrive at there new hornted house

The Lion The Witch and the Wardrobe

I have read and seen The Lion The Witch and the Wardrobe, and I think they are both very good, though I like the film better because I like to see pictures and the book I read did not have any. I also like the film better because of the title, the title is much shorther and it suits the film. The name is Narnia. The trailer of The Lion The Witch and the Wardrode is here:

This is a picture drawn of C.S. LEWIS, the author of this book. I think it is a very good drawing and someday I hope that I will be able to draw like this.

Fantastic Mr Fox

Fantastic Mr Fox is a brilliant book because you can't stop reading when you start. This is a book about a fox who has a son and a wife. He steals some chicken, goose and apple cider and then a war breaks out between them. That is what the book is about really but if you want to find out who won or who lost you have to read the book your self or you could watch the movie.

I have not watched the movie but i'm sure it's going to be really good (but not as good as the book!)

Treasure Island

Treasure Island is a very good book. You can look at the film just by clicking on play button:

There's Black Dog who is a man who comes and drinks rum with a sea captain and starts a fight. They find a map and they look for an island where there should be treasure.

The Cat in the Hat

 

The Cat in the Hat is a famous book by Doctor Seuss. You probably know it: the children are sitting inside on a rainy day and can't think of anything to do. Suddenly a strange cat appears at the door: the Cat in the Hat. He starts causing all sorts of chaos. Then he invites his two friends, Thing One and Thing Two into the house, and they cause even more chaos.

I used to not like the book when I was a child: I found that cat a bit creepy. But I like it now.

Doctor Seuss made a cartoon version of the book, which is a lot of fun. You can see it on YouTube. It sticks fairly closely to the book, but adds in some great songs.

But a feature film was made of the book too, in 2003. I think they did quite a good job of changing a very short book into an 82 minute film. Mike Myers, the actor who plays the Cat in the Hat has got a very flexible face and is great at acting as crazily as the cat does.

 

Charlottes Web, E.B.White

This is the Charlottes Web book.

Charlottes Web is a wonderful fantasy book. A little girl named Fern saves a little pig from being killed, her father is a farmer who wants to kill the baby because it's a runt. A runt is a baby animal who is smaller than the others and who is shoved to one side by the rest of the family. She takes care of it and called it Wilbur. She cared for it as if it were a baby; it even slept in her bed!

This is Wilbur the adorable baby pig.

But pigs grow like all animals grow and her father doesn't want a full grown pig in the house. So Wilbur has to go off to Fern's Uncle who lives just across the road and who has a free enclosure  in his barn but there Wilbur meets a lot more animals that he has never seen before. Fern visits him every day and reads him stories and keeps him company. One day he makes friends with a lovely spider named Charlotte who would do anything for him. But Fern's Uncle wants to  kill him and eat him for Christmas. Can Charlotte help Wilbur from the smokehouse?

The film doesn't differ much from the book. But I would recommend reading the book first so then you now what will happen. I bought the book in England and I read it in one day I was so intrested in it that I didn't want to put it down. My dad bought the film shortly after because he'd heard me talking about it at home. Thus I have the film and the book and I love them both.

Harry Potter

I really enjoyed this book because J K Rowling put in a lot of intresting parts. But the sad thing with the film is that the directer some times takes out parts that are in the book or the other way around. My favourite book of Harry Potter is Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.

My favourite part in the goblet of fire is when Harry gets chosen to compete in the Triwizard Tournament.

Little Red Riding Hood, "Caperucita Roja"

This book is about a little girl who went to see her granmother because she was ill .

She found a bad wolf in the forest who tricked her by telling her to go one way ,whilst he went a shorter way and pretended to be her grandmother.

I really liked this book because it has a happy ending. The hunter cut open the wolf's stomach and the grandmother jumped out alive and well making Little Red Riding Hood very, very happy.

The Invention of Hugo Cabret

This is the train station where he lives
with his Farther.

This book is really nice the pictures are beautiful!

This is Hugo Cabret.

He daily wind's up all the
clocks in the train station.

After a while he finds out he mustfix the automaton on his own...
