Here's a film review from http://www.scholastic.com/browse/article.jsp?id=3756734, read a paragraph now:
Hugo's mother has already died when his beloved father perishes in a fire. Orphaned, Hugo is taken in by his creepy, drunk, penniless uncle who lives in the train station clock tower. His life is changed forever. Suddenly too poor to go to school, Hugo must steal bread every day, or he'll have nothing to eat. All he has left is himself — until he meets a girl named Isabelle (Chloe Grace Moretz), who is also an orphan.
