Kaspar the prince of cats

This fascinating book is called Kaspar Prince of Cats and the good thing about this book is anyone who want's to know about the Titanic I will suggest this book for you because in one part of the book it includes the Titanic. As you can see on the book cover, there is the Titanc sinking. Let me tell you a bit about the story. Kaspar the cat first came to the Savoy Hotel in a basket – Johnny Trott knows, because he was the one who carried him in. Johnny was a bell-boy, and he worked to the Savoy Hotel. He carried all of Countess Kandinsky’s things to her room. Countess Kandinsky was an opera singer she had a concert in London so she came to London and lived in the Savoy Hotel. So she stayed in the Hotel for three months. Johnny Trott never had a mother, a brother or a sister or a father. Johnny Trott often used to imagine what his mother would look like.

One day when Countess Kandansky asked Johnny Trott if he could take care of Kaspar while she was performing her opera it was 75% of the time Johnny Trott would take care of Kaspar so, he had to agree. Looking at the kindness 0f Mrs. Kandinsky, he wished his mum looked like that. When Johnny Trott was going downstairs Mrs.Kandinsky said he was a kind and he did not even ask for money so, she said that she will pay £11 a week.

Michael Morpurgo has written many children's books. One of them is The Butterfly Lion. He has succesed in most of his books. Is per me and my choice of books one of my favourite author is Michael Mopurgo

  3. I enjoyed this book too, Tanvi. I read it with my daughter last year. Then, when I was in London in December I walked past the Savoy hotel and was tempted to go inside and see if there actually is a cat sculpture in the foyer.
Michael Morpurgo is a great writer. Have you read 'Alone on the wide, wide sea' by him? It is good and we have the audio version in the library.
