Little Polar Bear Finds a Friend

I love this book because when I was three my auntie gave me this book as a house warming present but... I'm supposed to be talking about the book so I'll start talking about it.

In the book, the illistrations are brilliant and look like they are done by a professional.

This book, by Hans de Beer, is about a little polar bear who goes out on journey to find a friend but gets trapped. He gets a way out but he's miles away from his family.

Can he get back? Read on to see if he can get his family back.

Little Rabbit Foo Foo

This book Little Rabbit Foo Foo is a fantastic picture book by Michael Rosen. It is one of my favourites.

DUCK in the TRUCK

I like this book because it is funny. It is by Jez Alborough.
The book is about a duck who gets in a  truck. They get stuck in the muck. The duck found a sheep. Duck said can you help me? The sheep said yes.
They push but...

But I do know all about chocolate featuring Charlie and Lola by Lauren Child

Lauren Child has a very queer way of writing, bacause sometimes it's not the same size and sometimes she makes sentances loop around and around.

Her pictures are all very peculier because it looks like she just cuts up pictures and patterns and sticks them down.

The MONSTER Who Couldn't Scare Anyone

I like the book because this monster can't scare anyone plus he keeps on scaring people with this sentence: "YUGAHH YUGAHH!"
I like the way Denis Bond uses the pictures to tell the story. He uses coulorful coulors

Green Eggs and Ham

Green Eggs and Ham is by Dr.Seuss. Seuss is a great picture book writer. He was put a task to do the least number of words possible. This is what he achieved and it was very great book to read. He is a very good at rhyming and he doesn't try to do interesting pictures but you still get it. In the book Sam-I-am is trying to get the man to eat green eggs and ham.

The Great Big Little Red Train

The cover.
This book and illustrations by Benedict Blathwayt has lots of detailed pictures. He uses the whole pallet, from white to black I love these pictures.

Little Red Train went through the forest
next to the sea.

Green Eggs and Ham by Dr. Seuss

Dr.Seuss is very creative in making his amazing characters and fitting a story to them and an enviroment. His rhymes are funny and enjoying to read aloud. Even though certain people may think it's babyish to read his books, still I enjoy reading them in fact more than the grown up books because grown up books have sometimes innapropriate words. Dr.Seuss's world is wonderful to explore. I hope there will be more Dr. Seuss books.

Little Rabbit Foo Foo, Michael Rosen

This book, Little Rabbit Foo Foo, is a fantastic picture book with very few words. It is actually a song book and a very, very funny book. I really like it. Arthur Robins the illustrator  is really lively in his pictures because of the way he uses his colours, he uses the whole pallet. These pictures are really easy to understand even when you are little. I have loved this book ever since I was a small child, I really loved the pictures and I kept on looking at the pictures. I really like the song as well. Michael Rosen is really funny.

One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish

Me reading One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish.
The One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish is a book by Dr.Seuss who is very popular children's writer. The pictures are also drawn by him. When I was a child the first book of his that I read was the Cat in the Hat. Which is probably his most popular book. Some people are scared of them but I find them very funny. The way he writes them is fantastic; it can even catch an adult's eye. The pictures and the way they speak are great for young children, but if you try to read it really quickly you get all muddled up. It's almost like he wants adults to like it as much as children. His pictures are very distinctive because he draws them all in the same way but they all  look different. He is very imaginative and creative.

His drawings are more or less the same but his doesn't use very many colours of the pallet. But he prefers too use the same range of colours. All of the creatures whatever they are, because they are extremly peculiar, are made to look almost human.

Never use a knife and fork

I love this picture book because it has lots of rhyming and poetry. It gets a lot better through the book. This is my favorite part in the book. It has really good picture and funny sentences, like Leave spaghetti in your hair keep crisps in your underwear! Nick Sharrat does a lot of bright colour to make his pictures stand out. I love Neil Goddard's grammar. This one of my favorite picture books so far. Nick Sharrat has astonishing coulour and pictures. Neil Goddard has lots of ryming in his writing. Nick Sharrat is really easy to find in books beacause his drawings are always the same.

We're Going on a Bear Hunt

Michael Rosen the author, took  this story-song that Primary teachers like to do and made it into a book. And Helen Oxenbury did the illustrations.

I've used this song so many times. It's a kind of call-and-response song that's great to use with Year 1 or Year 2. Even Year 5 likes it!

You can see Michael Rosen performing it here. I love the way he performs poems and songs. He has these amazing eyes and is so dramatic:

I think Helen Oxenbury's pictures are brilliant too - I especially like the painted landscapes on the colour pages.

The Getaway

Fingers the Crook in this book is on the run from the elephant police, and they are in hot pursuit. The cheese thief is Fingers and the cheese cow is angry and the cheese is the evidence so fingers needs help to out run the elephant. This book is in the librery

Oh The Places Youll go

This book is about a boy who goes to a lot of different places like a place were everybody's waiting. When I was young I loved this book because it was fun to think about all the places he went and it reminded me about the things I'd done that day. Dr Seuss has great illustrations beacause they can transfer the message to children who can't read. The illustrations are very un life-like in the sense that they are exagerated in many ways.

I will not ever Never eat a tomato

This is a book that was written by lauren child.I really like this book because there is this boy called charlie who has a sister that said that she won`t eat peas, carrots, potatoes, mushrooms, spaghetti,  eggs, sausages, cauliflower, cabbage, baked beans, bananas or oranges. And that she is not keen on apples, rice, cheese or fish fingers and I absolutely will not ever never eat a tomato. So you see Charlies little sister is a very fussy girl.
I really like Lauren child because she does very funny writting like she goes very swirlie. She also uses stuff that she has cut out of a magazine and put it into the pictures that she has in her book.
