The Adventure Series, by Enid Blyton

Adventurous stories are my favourite type of book. The book that I have got a picture of is called The Mountain of Adventure. In every book the main charaters are the children, a grown up friend who is named Bill and the children's mother Mrs. Mannering. Bill turns up quite a bit in the stories along with the children and wherever they go the children always seem to drag poor Bill into an adventure or he drags the poor children into one. Whenever Bill and the children are together an adventure builds up. Bill likes adventures as much as the four children but does get in trouble with the children's mother after their adventures. She is not cross for long though because Bill is her best friend aswell.

Bill is a policeman; well, not exactly, he is part a policeman and part a spy and when it is the holiday he joins the children and their mother so he can help her cope, or rather drag the children into an adventure. The Mountain of Adventure is a very good book; the children, Bill and Mrs. Mannering go to the Welsh mountains. Mrs. Mannering thinks the children will not find an adventure in the Welsh mountains but unfortunatley she is wrong.

Bill and the children find an adventure or should I say the adventure comes to them, the mountain they find has dangerous secrets tucked up inside it. Two strong men protect a man who is an inventor, the children think he is a very very clever but dangerous man and they need to tell Bill. Unfortunately, Bill had to stay with Mrs. Mannering because just before they were going to leave she got her hand trapped in the door of the farmhouse they were staying at. It was really a shame I thought to myself. You should have heard her scream, I think she nearly screamed the farmhouse down. Poor her.

Enid Blyton

Enid Blyton is a very famous author and she has won quite a few competitions because of her books. She is very famous; she is as well my favourite author, I think she is the best in the whole wide world.

Thank you very much for reading this post. I hope you enjoyed it. Thank you again.

Claudia.
